His Excellency Rashid Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, said, “We are constantly working on developing services and providing information for consumer protection in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He stressed that the department is working, during the next phase, to activate more tools, means and laws to ensure the legality of establishments’ work, protect consumers from violators, and upgrade the mechanisms of the local market in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in all economic sectors.
He pointed out that the “verify” feature aims to support the investor and licensed establishments in the emirate, encourage electronic transactions, as well as limit contracting processes with fictitious establishments by enhancing trust between online store owners and consumers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as it helps e-store owners to market effectively.
