Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the conclusion of the first edition of the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Championship, which started its competitions in Al Marfa City in Al Dhafra City and was organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Association.
The championship was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, President of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, and under the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Society.
The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Chairman of the Committee for the Management of Festivals and Cultural and Heritage Programs in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Nasser Muhammad Matar Al Mansouri, Deputy Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region Acting, His Excellency Salem Muhammad Battal Al Marr, Director of the Al Mirfa City Municipality Center, and His Excellency Hamad Khamis Theban Al Mansouri Executive Director of Al Dhafra Hospitals of the “SEHA” Company, His Excellency Colonel Hamdan Saif Al Mansoori, Director of Al Dhafra District Police Department, Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Director of Planning and Projects Department in the Committee for the Management of Festivals and Cultural Programs, Salem Butti Al Qubaisi, Director of Abu Dhabi Distribution Company in Al Dhafra Region, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, General Manager Emirates Arabian Horse Association, director of the championship, Khalifa Al Nuaimi, CEO of Al Aryam Stables, vice president of the organizing committee, and Farhan Saeed Al Hammadi, a representative of Tadweer.
The last day of the championship witnessed strong and exciting competitions during the final round, in light of the noisy atmosphere on the beach of Al Mirfa.
“Ajayib Al Manal” for Fahd Salem Al Zaabi won the golden title of the Fillies Championship, Omar one year, and came in second place to win the silver “Al Reem PHM” by Ali Ghanem bin Hamila Al Mazrouei, while it came third and won the bronze “Doebia K” for Saeed Siddiq Fateh Al Khaja.
“Manar Al-Hawajer” of Sultan Khalifa Al-Yahya won the golden title of foals, leaving the silver title of “Miral PD” to Nasser Ahmad Ali bin Dhahi Al Ali, and won the bronze “AJ Badour” by Adnan Abdullah Shaaban Al-Shehhi.
“RFA Amira Al Maktoub” was nominated by Ali Ghanem Hamila Al Mazrouei with the gold medal, and her companion “Ghala PHM” won the silver and second place, while the bronze “Massa Al-Hawajir” by Dr. Ghanem Al-Hajri came in third place.
“Mounir KH” by Saud Sultan Al Habsi won the gold medal for Omar Sunnah and finished in second place and won the silver “ELR Challenge” by Muhammad Yusef Muhammad Al Rasheed, while the bronze went to “Mayada H” by Haitham Muhammad Bin Farish Al Kindi.
“SS Mahjoub” by Muhammad Sultan Al-Yahyai was crowned with the gold foil, followed in second place and the silver “Andalusian EA” by Dr. Ghanem Al-Hajri, while “ES Rishiq” was satisfied by Khaled Saeed Brook Al-Hamiri, the third place and the bronze title.
Hilal Al-Sayyed raised the gold record of Bin Hamila to 3 titles when he landed the title of the stallions, leaving the silver to the stallion “Bahi Jumeirah” by Muhd Abdul Latif Taha, while he won the bronze “SI Al-Mashhar” for the North Wind Stud.
At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored the first-placed champions in the championship.
For his part, Mohamed Ahmed Al-Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, thanked and appreciated His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, for his generous sponsorship of the Al Dhafra Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister The Minister of Presidential Affairs, President of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, for his support and directives that had a great impact on the tournament’s exit in a good way.
Al-Harbi praised the relentless follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his follow-up as well as his presence at the events.
He said that the championship was able to establish its feet in its first start, pointing out that it was the first special tournament for national owners who own private cleats.
He explained that the championship witnessed a good initiative from the association to involve a number of young children in arbitration in an experiment on the sidelines of official competitions, and that the aim was to increase their association with this activity and enhance their knowledge, and the result was promising, as the percentage of their evaluation of horses differing from the official judges did not exceed 10%.
Al-Harbi added that the tournament also witnessed the continuation of the great interest that the association gives to the citizen exhibitors, and witnessed the generosity of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the form of honoring all the citizen exhibitors in the tournament.
He thanked the Najjaj partners from various government departments in the Al Dhafra region, who had the great merit in leaving the championship in this wonderful way, explaining that the association will present the best next season.
