The file of supporting and caring for the families of the martyrs and meeting their needs receives the attention of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their brothers, their Highness Sheikhs, Rulers of the Emirates.
The UAE worked on implementing an integrated strategy to support and meet the requirements of providing a decent life for the families of the martyrs, which included 4 basic axes, which included support for family stability through housing programs, providing homes, enhancing services provided to the children of martyrs in the education sector and following up their educational attainment, in addition to providing comprehensive health care that includes initiatives Especially for people of determination, especially in the period of the “Covid-19 pandemic,” and an integrated system of social support initiatives and initiatives to develop life skills, science, culture and sports.
The Office of Martyrs’ Families Affairs in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi oversees these initiatives according to two tracks, the first track is concerned with following up and studying the needs and requirements of families and the children of martyrs, while the second track includes the adoption and approval of specific initiatives and projects and supervision of their implementation.
The Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office worked to institutionalize services provided to families, and to translate the directives of the wise leadership by providing a system of support and care programs within an institutional framework.
In detail, ensuring the family and social stability of the children of the martyrs and their families was one of the main priorities of support, as the Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office was keen to follow up the stages of completing homes, and periodic and direct contact with those who deserve it to make arrangements for their handover of these homes as soon as possible.
At the level of the educational sector, the support system that sought to ensure the future of the children of the martyrs included providing the appropriate educational environment that allows them to excel in their achievement, and providing them with appropriate opportunities to be distinguished leaders in the future, by following up and visiting state schools to inspect the students, the children of the martyrs, and follow up on their studies, and reassurance. On the progress of their educational attainment and excellence, and work to follow up and secure all aspects of support, care and attention to them.
The office launched the Career Guidance and Guidance Program “Steps” targeting students who have excelled in education, children of martyrs, to discover options related to their future career path. The program includes courses, workshops and lectures aimed at providing them with the necessary skills and sound scientific foundations, to enable them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals and ambitions.
In the same context, the health and safety of the families of the martyrs and their families was a special priority for the Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office, which was keen to follow up everything related to their health affairs, especially the elderly and people of determination groups. This year, the office, in cooperation with the health authorities in the state, organized a series of lectures and meetings that were held on After enabling the families of the martyrs to keep abreast of all the developments related to the emerging corona virus, Covid 19, and to ensure their awareness of ways to prevent it and ways to adapt to the exceptional circumstances imposed by the spread of the epidemic, in addition to launching a special campaign to vaccinate the families of the nation’s martyrs and their families against the virus.
The office launched the Sons of Pride Camps initiative, which is a qualitative initiative directed at the children of martyrs with the aim of developing the capabilities and social relations and taking responsibility among the participants through the participation of the individual with his colleagues in various activities and his cooperation with them to accomplish various works, in addition to providing them with new information and experiences that expand their perceptions, cultures and horizons of thinking.
