The Egyptian actress, Yasmine Sabry, topped Google search engines and also became Trend No.1 on Twitter in Egypt, due to a previous interview with her on the “Her Excellency” program, a part of which was republished.
Yasmine Sabry is shown in the intended clip with Isaad Younes, talking about the dress she wears and its price. Yasmine Isad Younes talked about her own style and her cooperation with a clothing company, to change the taste of girls in the Egyptian street, as she described.
And she said in the video: “I discovered that the style among Egyptian girls has been lost, and I felt that if I were to see the light as an artist, and that people see me and you say sure, this dress is twenty thousand pounds. I discovered that I can wear something with 2000 that they can buy. You know this dress with 2500 any girl will be able to answer it.
The clip also caused a wave of criticism and ridicule from the wife of Egyptian businessman Ahmed Abu Hashima. Many activists saw that she does not feel the majority of the Egyptian people, who suffer from difficult living conditions. Activists confirmed that the price of the dress, which Yasmine sees as a small amount, is the same amount that some families live with in their month in Egypt.
