The Organizing Committee for the eighth edition of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, which is held during the blessed month of Ramadan at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, has approved the holding of cycling competitions over a period of three days during the period from 22 to 24 April, according to the procedures. The tournament includes five categories in which all amateurs and professionals, both citizens and residents, are allowed to participate, which are the open category for men and the open category for women, in which the participation of the players and players of clubs and national teams who participate in official races inside and outside the country of citizens and residents, and the amateur category for citizens only and the amateur category for female citizens only and not Any player who belongs to a club or has an official cycling card issued by the Emirates Cycling Federation stating his registration in one of the state clubs is allowed in it, and the race includes the category of people of determination from citizens and residents who are allowed to participate in road bikes for people of determination and hand bikes in which the hands are used Just.
The men’s open race will be held on Thursday April 22nd, with the open race for women, the Emirati amateur category, and the People of Determination category held on Friday April 23rd, while the amateur race for the citizens will be held on Saturday April 24th, and all races start at 22:00 pm and the starting point will be The closing is in front of the Falconry and Heritage Sports Center in Nad Al Sheba, and the starts will be in groups with a maximum interval of two minutes, so all contestants must be present at the starting point before 9:15 pm before closing the roads leading to the starting point after this time.
Participants compete in the 75-kilometer cycling race and win prizes totaling 360,000 dirhams, distributed as follows: In the open categories for men and the open categories for women, the first place receives a cash prize of 18,000 dirhams, and the second place receives a cash prize of 12,000 dirhams, and the third place 9600 dirhams, and the winners from fourth to ninth place receive a prize of 3600 each, and in the category of amateurs for citizens, in the category of amateurs for female citizens, the first place receives a prize of 26400 dirhams, the second place 20400 dirhams, the third place 14400 dirhams, and from the fourth to ninth place 4800 dirhams In the category of people of determination, road bikes and hand bikes, the first place holder gets a prize of 12,000 dirhams, the second 9,600, and the third 7,200.
The championship will be organized according to the regulations in force in the Emirates Cycling Federation. It is not allowed to use TT-handlebars and MTB mountain bikes or use anti-clock racing bikes, and cyclists who violate these specifications will be excluded, and the participant must be 18 years old and over The time of holding the race, i.e. those born on April 21, 2003 and below, and participation will be available individually only, and it is forbidden to announce the names of other institutions or bodies upon coronation.
