From sports cars to economical cars to cars with powerful engines and four-wheel drive vehicles, the UAE is considered a homeland for various types of cars, and this is due to the low taxes that make the prices of cars cheap. Have you ever thought about obtaining a certificate to export cars from the UAE to various countries of the world? In this article, we’ll show you all the steps needed to be able to do so!

Anyone wishing to export his vehicle from the UAE must obtain a certificate to export a vehicle outside the country, and this is done through the service centers of the Traffic and Licensing Department in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Certificate

You can obtain this certificate, which enables you to export your vehicle from the UAE to other countries through 3 basic methods, namely:

  • Site RTA Dubai
  • RTA application
  • Customer happiness centers
  • Service centers
  • Call centers

Website and App

To obtain a certificate for exporting cars from the UAE through the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority website, you have to do the following steps:

  • Log in to the application or website using your username and password
  • Enter the required data
  • Pay the fees by credit card
  • Receive the certificate from the Customer Happiness Center (Al Barsha or Deira) with the plates

Service centers

The duration of the transaction through the Customer Happiness Centers or the service centers spread across Dubai is less than 5 minutes, and you must follow the following steps to obtain the certificate:

  • Submit the required documents
  • Pay the fees and obtain a receipt for the payment
  • Receive the export certificate
  • The customer also gets the export plate if requested

Call center

Here are the necessary steps to obtain a car export certificate from the UAE through call centers:

  • Opening a traffic file for the customer (if there is no file for him in the Emirate of Dubai)
  • Installing a Salik tag on the plate
  • The export plates are subject to all the provisions of the Traffic Law with regard to violations and penalties
