Dubai police achieves 91.1% on the ‘community happiness index’

Dubai police have yet again set the standard for community service in front of the rest of the world. Certain statistics were released on Saturday at the annual inspection of the police force. It manages to paint a picture that represents the amazing work and training that the police force is undertaking.

The Dubai Police force managed to score 91.1% on the ‘community happiness index’. It also scored 95.9% on the ‘Partners Happiness Index’. These records represent the performance of the force in the year 2020.

Dubai police also managed to score 91.1% in the ‘Satisfaction with Community Initiatives Index’. And it scored 91.2% in the ‘Satisfaction with Publication of Information Index’.

The General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police under Major General Ahmad Mohamed Rafee, assistant commander-in-Chief for administration affairs at Dubai Police delivered these scores during the force’s yearly examination.

Maj. Gen Ahmad Rafee informed that the dept. launched 23 community-based initiatives benefitting 1,005,733 people. The force also signed 193 memoranda of understanding and established partnerships with 230 entities in various fields.

The police force created 654 volunteering opportunities for 14,199 individuals working as volunteers for a net total of 85,459 hours. The recently renovated Dubai Police Museum at the main headquarters in Al Twar also welcomed 7414 visitors.

During the review, Maj. Gen. Rafee also informed that the department created 15 work and strategy manuals in the last year. He additionally audited statistics of the Security Awareness Department, which offered 3,056 awareness campaigns in the year 2020. This was done to improve society’s security awareness against criminals activity.

Maj. Gen. Rafee additionally familiarised the public with the accomplishments of the Sports Affairs Department. These included winning 122 competitions and 160 awards and offering sports recovery rehab to 15,422 recipients.

Maj. Gen. Rafee also reviewed the Dubai Police Security Media Department’s dynamic work in 2020. This turned the department’s social media accounts into the quickest developing government social media accounts in the UAE.  These accounts had more than 195 views and clicks. The office also introduced 21 workshops, 5 courses, 34 instructional classes inside the preparation plan, and 58 virtual courses.

These scores have influenced the force’s morale and raised its spirits. After a challenging last year, during which the force worked and coordinated with the authorities and other front-line workers. It is a general consensus that morale and job happiness are now at around 97.6%.

This is a resounding success for the forces!
