Heritage Revival organizes a preliminary race for the “Heritage Camel Journey Marathon”

The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage is organizing on November 27th a preliminary race for the “Heritage Camel Journey Marathon” at the Marmoom Tournament in Dubai.

The kilometer-long preliminary race aims to test the ability of the participants in the past editions of the annual camel excursion, and to open the door for new participants to compete in real mountain races and develop their abilities in preparation for the marathon that will be held after the seventh edition of the camel trip this year.

The announcement of the “Heritage Camel Journey Marathon” for non-citizens, last February, came under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to be organized periodically during the festival of His Highness for the purebred Arab camels.

A number of different nationalities participated in the past editions of the camel trip to register and participate in this preliminary race.

The Center’s Events Department had included the registration link on the site since June, to attract those wishing to learn how to ride the motels and camels for racing and the heritage trip it organizes in the desert.

In the center’s keenness to implement the directives of His Highness, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and to achieve his vision and the government’s vision in the heritage frameworks aimed at spreading peace among the various peoples of the world and their cultures, cash prizes were allocated to the camel heritage trip marathon, where the prize value last season reached about 350 thousand dirhams.

On the other hand, the seventh edition of the camel trip this year will start on Sunday, November 29, and will travel about 600 kilometers in the depths of the desert to land in the heritage village, in the Global Village in Dubai, on December 8, 2020.
