Football fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming match between Juventus and Barcelona, to see their Portuguese stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentine Lionel Messi, face to face, in a new “Classico”.
It looks like the new season will witness a classic showdown between the two stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
According to the ‘Football Italia’ website, Juventus will face Barcelona on August 8 in the friendly Joan Gamper Cup.
The next match will be the 37th clash between Messi and Ronaldo. The match is also the first between Juventus and Barcelona, as the old lady defeated the Catalans 3-0 in the group stage of the Champions League in December 2020.
Ronaldo and Messi met 18 times in the Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, where the Flea won 16 times, while the Madeira rocket outperformed 11 times, and the draw dominated 9 head-to-head matches.
Many reports have cast doubt on the future of the two stars as Cristiano Ronaldo has been reported to be getting attention from Paris Saint-Germain.
On the other hand, it was reported that the Barcelona government agreed in principle with Messi to cut his salary by 50% in order to overcome the obstacles to renewing his contract, which has not yet been resolved.
