The Water Feature

Flap your Wings at the Poland Pavilion

In search of warmer temperatures, thousands of birds from Poland migrate to the UAE. The Polish pavilion is decorated by white metal stylised birds flapping their wings on a wood-covered structure that resembles a tree to honor this connection between the two nations.

Poland, considered the birdwatcher’s paradise, has brought the ‘A’ game by constructing this two-floor high majestic structure. Even if there is a very light wind, the birds sway with the movement, and it is an incredible sight to watch.

Commemorating the Hard Work

Expo 2020 is a culmination of 8 years of hard work by over 200,000 workers. The world’s greatest show wouldn’t be possible without those involved in the project infusing life to it. To honor all those, a Worker’s Monument has been installed at the site. The names of the more than 200,000 workers are etched on the 30 monolithic stone columns commemorating their hard work.

The monument honoring the workers is not in a corner on the Expo site. It is located at Jubilee Park which is directly opposite the heart of the Expo 2020, Al Wasl Plaza.
