The Expo 2020 was launched 10 days ago, i.e on 1st October 2021. To call it a resounding success would probably be an understatement. From the day of its launch, Expo 2020 Dubai has managed to rake in over 400,000 ticketed visitors.
Even though Expo 2020 got postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic the hype continued to build up. The fact that so many visitors attended the Expo over the first 10 days makes it seem like the people were clamoring to witness the arrangements that have been made for them.
It is being reported that the visitors that graced the Expo 2020 hailed from over 175 countries around the world. This number is only expected to increase as the event continues. On the first day itself, over 53,000 visitors flooded the gates of the Expo.
In the first 10 days, the Expo saw over 411,768 visits. These numbers only include the ticket holders. The representatives, participants, their guests, the shareholders, and the staff were excluded from this list.
Many of these guests bought the multi-day ticket or the season pass. Many of these guests have already visited the event more than once.
The Expo 2020 started with a virtual opening ceremony named the Virtual Expo. This virtual expo itself garnered over Three Million views.
Many experts believe that usually expos start off slow and gain more and more visitors as time goes on. This can only lead us to believe that as this six-month event carries on these numbers will only rise exponentially.
After a long stretched-out pandemic that forced us all inside our homes, seeing such a craze for an event of this magnitude is an exhilarating spectacle.
As the days go on and Dubai enters its peak tourism season, when the temperatures are more tolerable and the weather becomes pleasant, the number of visitors to Expo 2020 will also go up.
