Dubai Ride, one of the main attractions of Dubai Fitness Challenge, is ready to get back to Sheikh Zayed Road on Friday, November 5. Last year’s memorable launch offered cyclists an exceptional chance to pedal along Dubai’s main road against the backdrop of some of the city’s most popular tourist spots.
Introduced by DP World, Dubai Ride is open for all types of cyclists, ranging from novices to amateurs and experts aged 10 and above. The 14 km general course will course around five regions across Sheik Zayed Road and Lower Financial Center Road.
The route will be taking a large number of members past:
- the famous Museum of the Future,
- Emirates Towers, and
- Downtown Dubai.
Families can cycle along a 4 km course, detour around Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa.
The 2021 Dubai Fitness Challenge will offer an activity-filled schedule of free wellness events, classes, and fitness exercises at live events across the city.
This incorporates three wellness towns at
- Kite Beach,
- Expo 2020 Dubai, and
- Mushrif Park
There will be 14 fitness hubs in communities across Dubai and over 5,000 free fitness classes. In addition to Dubai Ride, Dubai Run will also return in 2021, giving everyone the chance to get active and run on Sheikh Zayed Road on November 26.
With more than 1,000,000 locals expected to participate, all Challenge exercises will conform to Covid-19 guidelines and social removing commands. Members are also urged to observe rules for their security, like wearing face masks, when in open spaces.
According to the mandates of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the occasion is to change the city into the world’s most dynamic and active city.
