 The annual convention founded by the Event Management savant, Extracake in 2012 is nearing its tenth-year celebration in 2022.

The region’s biggest pop culture celebration, Middle East Film & Comic Con, is a festival that pulls together film fanatics, Comic buffs, and TV devotees into the centre stage. The annual convention founded by the Event Management savant, Extracake in 2012 is nearing its tenth-year celebration in 2022. 

The event conducted with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism is gearing up for its expanding line-up of exciting events planned between 03 – 05, March 2022.  Dubai World Trade Centre, the default venue for the festival has been changed to Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Arrangements are going on in full swing to celebrate the comic con global confluence and give a fresh experience to the crowd in the backdrop of Abu Dhabi.

Even Though the event schedules haven’t been released yet, we can expect the traditional panel discussions with international film and television stars, workshops, and theatre experience. The festival has always recognised and given a platform to the regional designers, comic creators, and animators. We can expect the same this year too. And of course, the inevitable and ever-green Cosplay competition.

The Red Carpet

It is noted that the ‘Khal Drogo’ Jason Momoa, ‘Chuck’ Zachary Levi, ‘Dr.Strange’ Benedict Wong, ‘Jaime Lannister’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Iwan ‘Ramsay Bolton’ Rheon, Tara Strong, Seth Green, Gillian Anderson, William ‘Captain Kirk’ Shatner, and many more have attended the festival in the past. Being the 10th year, we can expect the best bunch of superstar appearances in March 2022.
