The Community Communications Office at New York University Abu Dhabi is organizing virtual distance programs under the title “Girls Education Network” and “Youth Education Network” to develop leadership skills for youth in Abu Dhabi.
The programs will be held during the period from October 10 to November 7, and include a group of workshops targeting students of the second and third cycles in a number of schools.
Girls’ Education Network and Youth Education Network to develop leadership skills rely on a peer-to-peer learning model whereby NYUAD students work as trainers in educational workshops.
The Girls Education Network also uses an advanced curriculum that won the prestigious Dalai Lama Award, which contributes to enhancing students’ skills.
The University’s Director of Development and Community Outreach, Carol Chaplier, said, “The Girls Education Network and Youth Education Network” programs for developing youth leadership skills are not just about what students learn from the curricula but about what they learn from each other and from students at NYU Abu Dhabi.
She explained that the peer-to-peer learning model allows students to interact openly with each other, learn new concepts, share their ideas and experiences, and develop strong relationships.
