WB Abu Dhabi: Warner Bros world’s 1st ever hotel opens

The world’s first ever Warner Bros. hotel – WB Abu Dhabi – is officially open to welcome guests on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The WB Abu Dhabi hotel will be operated by Hilton under the brand of Curio Collection.

The sleek five-star hotel WB Abu Dhabi is located adjacent to the world’s largest indoor theme park Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. It features 257 rooms with all the rooms being themed to Warner Bros. characters like Bugs Bunny, Superman, Daffy Duck and more. 

Warner Bros brand is very popular for their incredible storytelling capabilities. Their characters are so inspiring, that makes you believe them. They have made you laugh and cry with their beautiful stories and all these years.

What’s Inside WB Abu Dhabi

From the time you arrive here, you will be fully immersed with the characters  from the Warner Bros films and TV shows such as Harry Potter, Westworld, Superman, Tweety, The Wizard of Oz, Looney Tunes and many others. 

Remember the famous Batman to Superman? From Casablanca, Caddyshack to the exceptional Friends crew, how could you forget? Don’t you cherish seeing your favourite characters Tweety, Wonder Woman and Bruce Wayne?

Entry to the hotel

Just outside the hotel entrance near the entry, you will be able to see the famous fountain from the iconic  “Friends”. With its magical lighting as backdrop, this is a beautiful spot for you to capture good selfies .

On checking in, you can enjoy unique entertainment with screens playing original content created from their TV series and movies specifically for the hotel. 

As you continue, you can see a majestic piano in the fun-filled lobby as a replica of the one seen in Westworld.   There is a spiral staircase museum loaded with scripts, film props and casting shots from all the archives of the studios. 

Moving ahead to the rooms

All the guestrooms have beautiful artwork with three playful and exciting themes. The first one is  “From Script to Screen,” which features standout moments from Warner Bros. TV and film collection. The second theme is “Artist Confidential” which highlights all the behind the camera stories.  Finally, the third theme “The Vault” showcases all the rarely seen photos from the Warner Bros. collection.

Each room is loaded with plenty of mementos from Warner Bros and has pages of their scripts framed. You can also expect to see posters and the classic broadcasting from their shows and movies like The Great Gatsby and A Star is Born;. You can also catch glimpses from comic books in their archives collection. 

The rooms have ample space with each having a sofa area, mini bar fridge and a classic retro style  dial-up telephone.

The Warner Bros theme continues to the dining areas of the hotel. The hotel offers extensive dining options suitable for both adults and children. Craft Services in the lobby lounge serves as a coffee shop for you. Their all-day dining restaurant Sidekicks offers an international menu with colourful interior decor and artwork from classic cartoons Wacky Races and Yogi Bear. . 

If you want to indulge in an elegant dining experience, you have The Director’s Club downstairs in the lobby level. For those wanting to lounge near the pool, there is a casual dining option provided by The Matinee. The Overlook lounge with their relaxing infinity pool to relax offers viewpoints to catch stunning views of the city and the theme park. 

There are also  a number of amenities inside like a fitness centre, a spa, kid’s club as well as a ballroom and meeting room facilities.

The family-friendly hotel also has many options for children. There is an impressive “dive-in movie theatre” with small sunbeds, sunshades and an open cinema-style screen.
