The authority works to provide all the elements of support for female employees to transform challenges into opportunities and keep pace with all changes in line with the wise leadership’s efforts to empower women to contribute to making the future. Khawla Al Muhairi, Executive Vice President of the Strategy and Government Communication Sector, said: “The authority’s senior leadership is committed to creating all favorable conditions to empower the authority’s female employees, enhance their capabilities, and unleash their creative energies. The authority currently includes 1949 female employees within all its departments, and this number includes 671 female employees in the engineering and technical sector.Emirati women make up 80.5% of the total female workforce in the authority, and the percentage of Emirati women in the Research and Development Center is 32%, of whom are qualified women. High educational levels in the scientific and engineering fields, and the authority’s female employees participate in many volunteer work inside and outside the country, as the total volunteer hours for the authority’s employees during the year 2020 amounted to more than 7,999 hours in 22 humanitarian and community initiatives.

Aisha Muhammad Al-Rumaithi, Senior Engineer and Chairman of the Youth Council, affirmed the commitment of the Youth Council in the Authority to achieve the directives of the higher leadership in the Authority to consolidate the role of youth and women in the energy sector in a way that guarantees the sustainability of achievements and the preservation of gains. The happiness rate of the Authority’s youth employees during the year 2020 was 94% of the total activities and initiatives of the Council. The council includes 9 male and 9 female employees, and it serves more than 1713 male and female youth employees in the authority.
