The Dubai Police General Command has arrested the director of a tourism company, its marketing director, and a songwriter, after organizing a party for more than 100 people in a closed place, in violation of the decision issued by the Attorney General of the United Arab Emirates. No. 38 of 2020 regarding the application of the regulation for controlling violations and administrative penalties issued by Cabinet Resolution No. 17 of 2020, regarding the regulation of controlling violations, precautionary measures, instructions, and duties imposed to limit the spread of the new Coronavirus “Covid-19”.
Brigadier Jamal Salem Al-Jallaf, director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations in Dubai Police, confirmed that the arrest of the two directors and the coordinator of songs came after the spread of a video clip on social media sites of the party that was organized, without regard to physical distancing, and in clear violation of the precautionary measures from the virus Corona, and without prior permission from the competent authorities.
Brigadier General Al-Jalaf stressed that the decision of His Excellency the State Attorney General regarding the list of contraventions of precautionary measures imposes in its fourth item a fine of 10,000 dirhams for anyone who undertakes to hold gatherings, meetings, private or public parties, or gather in public places, farms or bachelor parties.
Brigadier General Al-Jallaf stressed that the Dubai Police General Command does not ever tolerate anyone who violates the precautionary measures to prevent coronavirus, which aim to protect community members and protect them from the spread of disease, calling on all tourism companies and community members to the importance of constant care to apply precautionary measures and maintain physical distancing And not to organize parties and events that would contribute to spreading the virus.
