The fourth edition of the “Dubai Fitness Challenge 2020” continues, which provides various ways for city residents to enhance their activity and upgrade their fitness level.
The challenge organizes sporting events and activities across Dubai that will continue until November 28, to make it easier for everyone to follow a healthier lifestyle, benefit from more than 2000 classes and 200 virtual events, and visit more than 150 sites to allocate 30 minutes a day of their time to exercise for 30 consecutive days.
Challenge participants can monitor their progress daily through the new “Log Your 30” feature on the home page of the Dubai Fitness Challenge website, determine the days they exercised, and obtain and share achievement badges.
The most prominent event of the “Dubai Fitness Challenge 2020” will be launched on Friday morning, which is the “Dubai Cycling Challenge” sponsored by DP World, which allows participants to experience a one-of-a-kind experience by cycling on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The challenge invites everyone of all ages, abilities and levels to participate and choose between two tracks that pass in the city center. The Dubai Cycling Challenge offers families the opportunity to participate in a 4-kilometer path that wraps around Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai.
As for the second open track, it extends 14 kilometers, as Sheikh Zayed Road will be open in both directions for cyclists only for the first time ever. Participants and people of determination can start on both lanes at the speed that suits them, and also at their preferred time.
All those wishing to participate in the challenge must ensure that they are able to ride bicycles for a distance of no less than 4 kilometers and bring their bicycles with them, along with special helmets and put on masks .. The “Dubai Running Challenge” event sponsored by “Mai Dubai” is the largest free running event in the city. It will be held on November 27th. Training programs and registration for participation can be viewed on the website www.DubaiRun.com.
The “Walking and Running Tours of the Dubai Fitness Challenge” gives the opportunity to explore Dubai and practice sports at the same time. Free guided tours are organized daily in partnership with “Arabian Adventures” and the sports brand “ASICS” and allow you to see the famous sights that include Old Dubai and “Downtown.” Dubai and Jumeirah from a unique perspective.
All jogging and jogging enthusiasts can choose from three varied tracks: the 3-kilometer tour without a guide through the historic “Al-Fahidi neighborhood” and the Dubai Creek area, the 5-kilometer tour in “Downtown Dubai” that allows you to see the most beautiful engineering landmarks up close, and the beach tour along Jumeirah Beach for a distance of 10 kilometers.
