Within the framework of national efforts to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, to involve community members in shaping the future of the UAE.
To develop the axes and components of the UAE Centennial Plan The National Program for Artificial Intelligence organized a series of interactive sessions and workshops that discussed 30 innovative ideas to be employed in support of the outputs of the “Design for the Fifty Project”, which is supervised by the Preparedness Committee for the Fifty, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The dialogues witnessed the participation of His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work applications, and a number of government officials, experts, university students, innovators, entrepreneurs and emerging companies specializing in technology and the digital economy.
The interactive sessions focused on discussing the most prominent challenges faced by young people and emerging companies in the field of achieving their aspirations and future projects, and the tools necessary to develop and implement their ideas and expand the scope of their work, and aimed to develop integrated perceptions about initiatives and supportive programs that can be developed and launched during the next phase to meet their various needs.
His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama stressed that the UAE government believes that designing the future is a participatory responsibility for all members of society, and focuses on engaging youth in initiatives to design the future of vital sectors in the UAE over the next 50 years, believing in their active and main role in employing modern technology to be an operational tool for the realization and application of these ideas. And future visions and employing them in enhancing the leadership of the UAE.
Omar Sultan Al Olama said: “These innovative ideas and future perspectives will be employed within the initiatives of the National Program for Artificial Intelligence during the next phase to ensure keeping pace with the rapid global changes and making use of modern technology tools in various economic and societal sectors, and in a way that contributes to enhancing the role of emerging companies and entrepreneurs in supporting the progress of the sector. The digital economy in the UAE.
For their part, the participants in the sessions stressed the importance of continuing efforts and initiatives to empower national cadres in the technological sectors, providing them with knowledge and scientific tools, developing their digital skills, encouraging them to enter the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, and providing support programs to accelerate the implementation of their projects and ideas.
The dialogue touched on the need to upgrade the digital infrastructure and support private and emerging companies in the UAE in developing new solutions and products that meet the growing needs of vital sectors, in addition to discussing many ideas related to facilitating the establishment of emerging companies, mechanisms to support national talent and cadres and attracting specialized expertise from around the world.
