Tallest, largest, biggest, highest, longest- Dubai boasts it all.
Come 2026, Dubai brings in the first and the biggest art tower. Known as the Clothespin, the concept aims at bringing art accessible to all. Guests will be able to visit, live and work in this largest art piece on the globe.
World’s Largest Art Piece
This iconic skyscraper is going to rise to the height of 170m with 50 floors. It will be in the shape of a clothespin. Zygo, the acclaimed Israeli artist, is the brain behind this project. The concept of Clothespin is representative of two equal halves that are nothing without the other half. But, together, they represent unity, meaning, and value.
Clothespin, the first art-piece tower in the world, will include art galleries, a commercial shopping center, restaurants, a luxury hotel, and a residential area with apartments. Besides all other forms, this massive piece of architecture is also going to accept cryptocurrency as a means of transaction.
The soft launch of the concept is done at Zygo Art Gallery, Wafi Mall, Dubai. It involved showcasing the phenomenal works of art by this contemporary artist.
The concept will get revealed on October 5 at the gallery. The artist and the team behind the Clothespin Tower will be there to unveil it in the presence of Zygo himself, who will be reaching the UAE for the official launch.
Decrypting Clothespin
The relationship of the UAE and Israel is amicable and is based on love, peace, and hope. The Clothespin Tower is representative of the strong bond that exists between these two countries. Getting back to the concept, it denotes UAE and Israel to be equal halves who fully complement each other.
According to Jacob Carl, the entrepreneur from Israel behind this project, the tower will be based on Zygo’s clothespin theory which represents two similar halves drawn apart and coming together, portraying a union of divided souls. Zygo’s primary goal is to connect with human emotion and portray the Clothespin Tower as a symbol of hope and eternal love between two divided souls that come together to be united.”
Parting Words
All in all, the concept of the Clothspin tower is to connect with human emotion. The construction of the skyscraper is likely to begin in 2023 and will be ready by 2026. The exact location, however, remains undisclosed.
