Sanjay Kapoor got UAE’s Golden Visa: Other celebrities to receive it till now

UAE’s Golden Visa, a new system implemented in 2019 for long-term residency, aimed to attract global investors and talents to increase the nation’s economy.

Under the Golden visa, foreigners can live, work, and study without a national sponsor. They can also have 100% ownership of their business on the UAE’s mainland. The visa is issued for 5 or 10 years, and after that, it’ll be automatically renewed.

Recently, a few changes were made to widen the eligibility for the Golden visa. Now, it includes CEOs, Specialists in Science, Health, and Technology, Managers, Established Pioneers, and a few others.

Recent Addition to the List of UAE’s Golden Visa

Sanjay Kapoor

Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor is the most recent person to get the Golden Visa. He recently made a smashing appearance on supernatural thriller The Last Hour released on Amazon Prime. Sanjay has said a big thank you to the UAE government and its forward-thinking leaders. He even mentioned, ” As a kid I used to come to the UAE, go to Sharjah, watch the cricket matches at the time. I never thought that I would be a resident here one day. I just want to thank the UAE government and the immigration authorities.”

Joginder Singh Salaria

Many may not know him but he is a Dubai based Indian social worker and philanthropist who was recently given the golden visa for his humanitarian efforts. He is the founder of Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT) Humanity and got the visa stamp on 20th September 2021. He expressed his gratitude on a video message and also said, ““I have immense gratitude for the Dubai Police as well. They have been instrumental in supporting my humanitarian efforts,”

Shah Rukh Khan

The Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, was the first Indian celebrity to receive the prestigious Golden Visa. SRK’s relationship with UAE is not a new one. Dubai Tourism named him the Brand Ambassador in 2016, and he owns properties in the UAE, including a house on Palm Jumeirah.

Suniel Shetty

The Bad Boy of Bollywood and Businessman Suniel Shetty received his long-term UAE Golden visa and thanked the government authorities for the honour.

Mohanlal

Esteemed Malayalam actor and Businessman, Mohanlal, thanked the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development after getting his long-term residency. The Businessman actor is opening two hotels in Dubai and Sharjah in collaboration with his friend.

Mammootty and Dulquer Salman

Malayalam Megastar Mammootty and his actor son Dulquer Salman received their Golden Visa.

After receiving the honor, Dulquer Salman mentioned that he is looking forward to spending more time in the UAE.

Jeev Milkha Singh

Son of the Legendary Indian Athlete Milkha Singh, Jeev is a professional golfer. He is the first Indian to break into the top 100 – Official World Golf ranking. And he is also the first golfer in the world to receive the prestigious Golden Visa.

Cristiano Ronaldo

2021’s Highest-Paid soccer player and Manchester United’s Forward Cristiano Ronaldo recently received his Golden visa.

Novak Djokovic

The Serbian Superstar who was on the verge of getting the Calendar Grand Slam has been granted the UAE’s long-term residency visa.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik

Indian Ace Tennis player Sania Mirza and her husband, Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik, have been given the Golden Visa. The sports duo has been living in the UAE since their wedding in 2010.

Paul Pogba

The winner of the 2018 FIFA World cup, Paul Pogba is the central midfielder for Manchester United and the France National Team. He recently received his long-term residency visa from the UAE government.

Gautam Allahbadia

A renowned Reproductive Endocrinologist, Dr. Gautam Allahbadia received his 10 years UAE Golden Visa.

Sanjay Dutt

The Macho Munnabhai, Sanjay Dutt, is a frequent visitor to the UAE. After receiving his Golden visa in the presence of Major General Mohammad Al Marri, the Bollywood actor thanked the UAE government for the honor. He reportedly spent most of Ramadan in Dubai this year with his wife and children.

Roberto Carlos

Former Brazilian footballer and football ambassador Roberto Carlos was given the UAE’s long-term residency Golden Visa.

Boney Kapoor

Boney Kapoor, the Eminent film producer and entrepreneur, and his children, noted Bollywood actors – Arjun Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor received their 10 years Golden Visa.

Luis Figo

The Portuguese football legend and the two times World Cup finalist, Luis Figo has been extended the prestigious UAE golden visa.

Tovino Thomas

Multifaceted Malayalam Actor-Producer, Tovino Thomas mentioned that he is honored and humbled to have received the long-term residency visa. Many of his relatives and friends reside here in Dubai.

As the nation is looking forward to reducing its dependence on oil, the recent changes in the Golden visa will attract global investments in the coming years.
