Arada awards a contract worth 102 million dirhams to implement the second phase of infrastructure works in the Aljada project

The real estate developer Arada revealed its latest developments in a series of successive construction contracts in the giant mixed-use “Aljada” project in the heart of New Sharjah, with a total sales value of 24 billion dirhams, as it recently awarded a contract worth 102 million. Dirhams for the construction of the second phase of the infrastructure work to breathe life into a number of locations on Aljada.

The scope of work under the new contract covers all infrastructure works, including construction of electric power and water facilities, telecommunications networks, road works, and site coordination for the East Village community, Nest Student Residence Complex, SABIS International School – Avenue and the fourth phase of the avenue, which will be launched for sale soon this year, and construction work will begin. The infrastructure immediately and is expected to be completed in September 2021.

Arad Chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said: “We will continue to focus our efforts on construction works during the remainder of this year and we expect to award more contracts with a total value of more than one billion dirhams during the current year.”

Arad Board Chairman added: “The infrastructure contract that was recently awarded is a major element of our plan to breathe life into many parts of the boulevard, and we look forward to closer cooperation with the company to which the contract was awarded. soon “.

It is noteworthy that “Arad” has awarded during the past few weeks a contract worth 423 million dirhams for the construction of the East Village, which constitutes the second residential phase of the Aljada project. The real estate developer has also signed a separate contract to build the Sabis International School – Aljada, and Arada plans to award another contract to build the Nest complex. For student housing, which is the third phase on the avenue, before the end of 2020.

The avenue extends over an area of ​​24 million square feet in the growing Muwailih area in the heart of New Sharjah. This mega project is expected to change the urban landscape in the emirate and contribute to drawing a brighter future for its future generations. There are three integrated schools, a hospital, and a wide range of shops, cafes and high-end restaurants. To date, about 5,800 units have been sold in Aljada, 1,600 units of which were sold in 2020 AD only, and upon completion the project will include 20,000 units, of which about 30 percent have been sold so far.

It is worth noting that the construction works on Aljada started in 2018 and the first phase of the project has been completed, which is the Madar Complex, a new family entertainment destination in Aljada, which was inaugurated last February. For children and the Avenue Discovery Center, designed by Zaha Hadid International Architecture, the new entertainment destination has attracted more than 500,000 visitors since its opening, and the first package of Avenue homes is expected to be delivered to the owners before the end of this year.
