His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, crowned the winners of the first two-day running and natural barriers championship, which lasted for two days, in which 50 competitors from the leadership participated and organized by the Sports and Social Activities Department of the Media and Public Relations Department of Sharjah Police at Police Officers Club Sharjah.
The first place in the championship was achieved by Othman Hassan Abdullah from the Department of Ports and Airports. Khalifa Dhahi Al-Ketbi from the Amiri Guard Department came as a summer runner, while Walid Muhammad Al-Ghoul from the General Administration of the Academy of Police Sciences won the third place.
In his speech, His Excellency Major General Al Shamsi congratulated the winners of the championship, praising the competence of the participants in the competition from among the employees of the Sharjah Police, which produced high skills in the level of physical fitness and endurance, directing the need to ensure full readiness, maintain high physical fitness, and constantly work to raise the level of performance in order to advance the police sporting elements, including Ensures achieving sports development and its positive reflection on affiliates.
For his part, Major Ahmed Mubarak Al-Junaibi, Head of the Sports and Social Activities Department at the Media and Public Relations Department, indicated that the first leadership championship for running and natural obstacles was organized according to preventive measures and precautionary measures … explaining that the tournament simulates reality and contributes to refining the skills of the policeman and qualifies him to deal with all the situations imposed by it. The nature of his work in addition to raising physical fitness and endurance through sports activities organized by the Sports and Social Activities Department at the Media and Public Relations Department of Sharjah Police to participate in competitions and tournaments at the level of the Ministry of Interior.
The closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Haji Al Serkal, Director General of Police Operations, Brigadier General Aref Al Sharif, Director General of Resources and Support Services, Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Academy of Police Sciences, Colonel Dr. Ali Bu Al Zoud, Deputy Director General of Central Operations, Brigadier General Ibrahim Musabah Al Ajel, Deputy Director General of Police Operations, and a number of Officers.
