Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, in cooperation with the Emirates Horse Racing Authority and under the patronage of the Dubai Real Estate Center ARM Holding, will organize the “Cup of His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah and the Cup of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum 2020” at Sharjah Longines Racecourse Tomorrow At the club.
The race is held with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council and the media sponsorship of the Sharjah Sports Channel, and with the strong participation of purebred Arabian horses, local production horses and purebred horses, with a total of 83 horses, with 5 horses on reserve, as the race consists of 6 runs for different distances and levels.
The race begins with the first half: Burj Al Khor run – Dubai which is a race dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, equal to the four-year-old horse, the largest domestic production of 1200 m handicap with prizes up to 40,000 dirhams with the participation of 13 horses.
As for the second half: Jasmine Run it is a race dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, beginning at the age of four years and older, within the classification for a distance of 2000 meters Handicap and with prizes up to 40 thousand dirhams with the participation of 16 horses with 4 horses on reserve.
The third round: The Firdaws run which is intended for purebred Arabian horses, starting at the age of four years and older, for a distance of 1,700 meters, with prizes up to 40,000 dirhams, with the participation of 14 horses.
The fourth round: Palma Spring run is allocated to purebred Arabian horses equal and from local production at the age of four years starting a distance of 1700 meters and its prizes are 40 thousand dirhams with the participation of 16 horses with one horse on reserve.
The fifth round: Sharjah Crown Prince Cup presented by the Dubai Real Estate Center and it is a stage dedicated to purebred Arabian horses of local production and classified at the age of four years and over for a distance of 1200m prestige and it is a round of equivalence with prizes reaching 200 thousand dirhams with the participation of 13 horses.
The race ends with the sixth round: The Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup presented by the Dubai Real Estate Center, and it is a race dedicated to purebred hybrid horses, which are classified – par – for a distance of 2000m Handicap and its prizes reach 200 thousand dirhams with the participation of 11 horses.
This is the fourth race of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club out of the seven races the club hosts for this season. The fifth race for the Gulf Cooperation Council Cup will take place on January 9, 2021, followed by the sixth race for the Cup of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah on February 27, to conclude the season with the Cup race of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan on April 3, 2021.
The management of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club has approved all the precautionary measures approved by the Ministry of Health, and the approval has also been taken by the National Emergency, Disaster and Crisis Management Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah.
