The UAE Professional League today organized a Media Forum in Dubai within the framework of the existing partnership between the two parties, with the aim of strengthening the relationship of communication and continuous cooperation with the media in a more in-depth manner, in order to enhance the success of the sports system of our league.
The event, which witnessed a large presence, kicked off with a short video presentation that included references to the most prominent efforts made by the Professional League.
Walid Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Professional League, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency that the medical examinations before the start of the matches, which amounted to more than 50 thousand examinations, came to ensure the commitment of all.

During the meeting, Al Hosani touched on the Professional League meetings since the start of the season at the level of the technical committee, the coordination meetings with representatives of clubs and match officials, as well as reviewing the match protocol, statistics of actual play, and highlighted the map of television broadcasting rights, digital rights, in addition to the promotional initiatives that have worked On it, since the launch of the current season 2020-2021, the League has represented the new audio identity, the virtual visual elements, the “new” website and mobile application, the Fantasy Arabian Gulf League, the Electronic League, and the commercial direction of the League.
He also mentioned that some people received vaccinations against the virus, statistics of “actual playing time” and the timing of the matches, referring to the numbers of the successes of broadcasting league matches across various platforms and channels in the world, as the number of views in 2018-2019 reached 18 million views of the League matches, as well as About other efforts that have been made to make the digital broadcast of our league a success through new platforms covering the continents of the world.
In response to a question related to the distribution of financial allocations to clubs this season and what has been changed in dealing with them, he said, “The League presented a new initiative, by allocating 35% of the financial reward for the league, distributed equally to the participants in the tournament, and it is distributed at the beginning of the season usually, and 15%. They will be distributed as rewards through two new initiatives, the first witnessing the allocation of money based on the public attendance and the percentage of it with clubs, and the second initiative, there will be bonuses related to Asian participation, for which 5 million dirhams will be allocated to the clubs most successful in reaching the final rounds of the tournament.
The Media Forum of the Professional League touched on the most prominent promotional initiatives that were implemented with the start of the current season 2020-2021, and included a “new voice identity” as a contemporary identity that simulates the new generation of football fans, and is in line with the most prominent practices in international leagues, in addition to the fact that the League has succeeded in concluding New sponsorship and partnership agreements with the Committee to follow up the implementation of the initiatives of His Highness the President of the State, and the Association was able to sign sponsorship contracts with Rixos Hotels, and emphasize the importance of the existing strategic partnership. The contracts of Etisalat and Al Naboodah Automobiles Company have been renewed until the end of the 20 season – 21.
He concluded that the foundations of the association’s strategic plan for the next ten years will be concerned with commercial development, financial sustainability of competitions and clubs, and accordingly, the association’s staff will diversify sources of income, create new commercial bouquets and assets, develop investment methods and upgrade the brand for competitions.
