The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Pink Caravan Riders – one of the Cancer Patients’ Friends Association’s initiatives concerned with promoting awareness of breast cancer and the importance of periodic and self-detection – announced the launch of the caravan march next February, marking its eleventh year with many achievements in terms of Enhancing societal awareness, correcting inaccurate concepts, and strengthening partnerships between different parties and groups to reduce the economic and social burdens caused by breast cancer.
In line with the directives and vision of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Organizing Supreme Committee confirmed that the eleventh march of the Knights of the Pink Caravan will witness qualitative societal and institutional participation and will open the door to participation for everyone without exception .. It is clear that what the march has achieved in terms of achievements and what it has established from Awareness that was the result of teamwork, joint effort, and a unified position that serves the general interests of the UAE society, foremost among which is the health of its members.
The march, which starts from Sharjah and roams the seven emirates of the country, will witness the participation of 7 knights of the convoy ambassadors of official and prominent personalities, and the march attracts individuals interested in community and humanitarian work, medical staff, knights and volunteers from various components of the Emirati society.
The organizing committee indicated that the door to joining and volunteering for the riders, medical and nursing staff, and technical support is open to all within preventive and precautionary measures to ensure the health of individuals and to ensure the success of the march and the achievement of its goals.
Among the qualitative additions that the caravan includes to its program for the first time is the participation of at least one equestrian club in each emirate that opens its doors to those wishing to practice horse riding or train in equestrian skills daily for a symbolic sum that goes in favor of the “Pink Caravan” as the clubs prepare to organize events accompanying the march. In order to attract the largest possible number to contribute to the caravan program and achieve its noble goals.
The Organizing Committee stated that the proceeds of the equestrian clubs will be allocated to support the endeavors and goals of the Pink Caravan and to enhance its capabilities in order to provide qualitative statements with the latest devices and mechanisms to the largest possible number of the public, in line with its efforts to expand the volume of annual statements to reduce the economic and social burdens caused by breast cancer.
