Jeddah: The Regional network for Social Responsibility (CSR), a member of the UN Global Compact, chooses Princess Hind Binth Abdulrahiman Al Saud as the global social responsibility ambassador. This is in recognition to her leading role in social services in the Kingdom, according to the quotes from the UN spokesmen.

On March 25, the regional CSR network started a campaign to support the international response to combat the coronavirus pandemic, which would last until June 25th. The Princess amidst the campaign on Rotana Khalijia’s Sayidati show in the last April declared that the campaign was to advocate international efforts to combat Covid – 19 with Arab participation and community leaders were chosen as global ambassadors to spread useful information to the community through various channels to combat the virus. Princess had earned well respect from various parts of the globe on account her compassionate stand for the people who suffer.

“Anyone can participate through signing up on the network website and request to document their efforts that must exceed 20 hours”, she had said. Through the ‘We all are Responsible’ initiative launched by the Saudi Ministry of Health, she called on volunteers to play a role that could make a positive impact on their communities. As a community leader, she personally participated in a campaign ‘We help and assist’ where she delivered medications to patients of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, Professor Youssef Abdel Ghaffar, stated that this campaign aims to shed light on societal and global solidarity that has emerged in these unprecedented times, and the success of many national and international efforts in limiting the negative effects of the novel coronavirus. In response to the splendid achievement, the Princess tweeted:

“I have had the honour to be selected as an ambassador to support international efforts in the fight against the current pandemic”

Princess Hind trolls her career over an extensive area ranging through business, commercials and social service. Princess Hind Al Saud is a figure that has long supported the goals and aspirations of Arab women through her active participation in national and regional forums. She has also headed many committees and seminars geared towards the growth of female participation in the field of business. The Princess was the head of the Supreme Committee for the ‘Qafelet Abnaa Alshuhada’ (Sons of Martyrs) in Saudi Arabia, the second Arab Conference for creativity and entrepreneurship in Lebanon, the Eighth Women’s Conference in Jordan and the Seventh Arab Women’s conference held in the United Arab Emirates. She has also held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of the Women’s Chamber branch in Riyadh (2006) and chaired the organizing committee of the 2nd Businesswomen’s Cultural Forum in Riyadh (2006). Finally, she has been a member of The Organizing women’s committee for the 2nd Riyadh Economic Forum (2005); the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh (2004); and the National Committee of Women’s Council of Chambers of Commerce in Riyadh (2004).
