The musical set on the Greek island Idyll is a funny tale of a bride-to-be finding her birth father using the 1970s hit songs from ABBA. Written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd this show has been a smash hit since its first screening.
Infact, it is the 8th longest-running show in Broadway history. And it has played for a record-breaking 14 years.
Fact you should know: The show was played in Mandarin in 2011 in the People’s Republic of China. It was the first-ever western musical to gain that honour.
