Artist Ahmed Malik commented on a video that spread to him on the social networking site “Facebook”, which was taken by one of the surveillance cameras of a store, while he was hiding a “condom” for a famous company.
Malik said, through his personal account on the “Facebook” website: “In a strange video, Leah went out and I was buying a product of gasoline in Cairo, and after I paid for the product, it was spread on the Internet as if it was theft of this product.”
He added: “A shameful attempt to defame me, I am with the bill of payment, and I will respond by law to this strange and shameful behavior .. I was filmed without my permission and a sound was installed on the video to turn a normal act into a suspicious one.”
He continued, “I am very sad and unaware … why is someone trying to harm a person with this strange and cruel act .. I hope everyone does not believe anything they see .. I will file a defamation statement on this strange and humiliating situation.”
Malik went on to say: “To anyone with a media presence, I hope we will be blind to us, because turning any position against you will be very easy … I hope I will be with your confidence and I hope that this false defamation will not change your vision of me.”
He concluded his speech by saying: “I will continue to give my profession all I have and try not to succumb to an unjust attack .. Thank you, and I wish you didn’t get long.”
