This museum is a must-see for antique automobile enthusiasts, with over 100 cars on exhibit from the early twentieth century.

The Sharjah Classic Cars Museum is divided into five sections, featuring vehicles ranging from a Midget to Ford. A must-see is the 1969 Mercedes Pullman Limousine, custom-built for Sharjah’s ruler and one of just 2,000 worldwide.

The automobiles have been meticulously repaired and polished to the point that you can see your reflection in them. Learn about the vehicle’s history and view antique advertisements from each era and an interactive area for youngsters that includes puzzles and a driving simulator.

The archaeological paradise: Mleiha Archaeological Center 

Meliha Archaeological Centre is a tourist attraction and museum dedicated to the history and archaeology of the Mleiha area in Sharjah. The center, centered on a well-preserved Umm Al Nar tomb, describes the excavations and discoveries discovered at Mleiha and its environs. The significant Faya North East discovery, which demonstrates that ‘anatomically modern people lived in the Mleiha region between 130,000 and 120,000 years ago,’ has been made during the last 40 years.

The burial Village for everything spooky

As you travel across the undulating dunes towards what was once a tiny community outside of Al Madam, you will be greeted by an unsettling silence.

According to residents in the area, the village was previously home to the Al Kutbi tribe, one of the three main tribes living in and around Al Madam, a tiny town controlled by the Sharjah emirate.

The hamlet abandoned a few decades ago is now half-buried in sand, and no one knows why. It may be the jinn (supernatural entities believed to live in this world but not visible to human sight by Arabs and Muslims; the creatures are also referenced in the Quran) or the harsh desert.
