Expo 2020, the pinnacle event of this decade, has achieved so many unique feats even before its unveiling. Now a ‘35,000 feet’ feat is added to its already crowded feathers. Emirates, the flagship airline of the UAE, showed the world a flying invitation card for the Expo 2020.
A Colourful Bird – Flying Invitation Card
The passenger aircraft Emirates’ A380 is completely stripped of its traditional white and gold paint schemes and painted with Expo 2020’s livery features – vivid green, pink, purple, orange, and red.
The in-house teams at Emirates designed, painted, produced, and installed this artistry marvel. From the outlook, it may look like a decal, but it is a complete paint project. It is to be noted that it is the largest paint project Emirates has ever embarked on.
The project consumed more than 2,500 sq. m. of tracing and masking material, and it took 16 days and 4,379 man-hours to complete.
The Aircraft A380 carries the special messages, ‘Dubai Expo’ and ‘Be Part of the Magic’ on both sides of its body. The dates are painted on the Aircraft’s Engine. Emirates has planned the flying invitation card design for three A380’s, one of them will be flying to Los Angeles on September 29.
Other ways to promote
Another such promotion was recently done on Burj Khalifa, where Emirates airlines featured a woman standing on the top of Burj Khalifa carrying the invitation for expo 2020 visit.
I am sure with the opening of the event; more such invitation cards may take shape. That is all for now! Stay tuned for more updates.
