As the World awaits the opening of the long-postponed Expo-2020 Dubai, Pakistan revealed something exciting. They are going to showcase hidden treasures at their pavilion.
Noor Jehan Bilgrami, the Pakistani artist and the principal art curator, disclosed that visitors are in for a visual treat. The pavilion is themed ‘Hidden Treasure’ and would showcase the nation’s lesser-known and unique aspects.
The culturally enriched nation aims to create a narrative that reflects its poetic past, present, and future. It also wishes to inform, inspire, and ignite a positive conversation. This is sure to amaze the audience and create a lasting impact.
So, what all is there on the cards?
It includes ancient history, ethno-religious diversity, rich cultural traditions, natural resources, and the nation’s economic potential.
Rashid Rana, the celebrated artist, designed the facade of Pakistan’s pavilion, and it’s been predicted as a major instagrammable spot. The inspiration for the facade is drawn from the changing seasons of the country. It, by all means, would be a magnificent piece.
Pakistan has also planned to feature an indigenized restaurant to exhibit its authentic cuisines to the World.
Isn’t all this exciting? I am very excited to visit their pavilion! I hope it’s the same for you.
For now, relish the thought of visiting the place soon and stay tuned for more updates!
