Live streams & Fireworks planned for Expo 2020 opening ceremony

Dubai and the whole of UAE are on their toes gearing up for Expo 2020 opening ceremony. Planned on September 30, the colorful event will celebrate people coming together to mark the pivotal point of our technological future. 

The 8 years of arduous planning and preparation by the nation is only a few hours away. To relish the star-studded opening ceremony, displays are set up at more than 430 locations across the UAE, on which the livestreaming of the ceremony will take place. It covers public places, including airports, shopping malls, hotels, and other landmarks across the nation. 

Expo 2020 partners have extended their support by setting up displays on their premises. Dulsco, Terminus Group, L’Oreal, and Nissan will be hosting opening ceremony viewing parties for their staff. 

Emirates, the flagship airline and the official airline partner of Expo 2020, plans to stream the ceremony live to its first and business class lounges, both local and international.

To kick off the official unveiling of the Expo 2020 on the evening (8.20 pm) of Friday 1, October, three fireworks displays will light the sky at The Frame, and the Pointe, Dubai Festival City, Palm Jumeirah.

Fountains at The Pointe and Dubai Festival City are modeled into a mesmerizing light and sound show on the Expo 2020’s theme. The Frame’s facade will be lit up in the official Expo colors.
