There is no doubt that summer sandals are a great accessory in the hot months, but wearing them is one of the main causes of cracked and rough feet. If moisturizing creams do not help you and beauty salons seem to be one of the ways that cost you a lot of money, then resort to natural remedies that help get rid of cracked feet.
Today we offer you 5 natural ways to eliminate cracked feet:
Using petroleum jelly (Vaseline)
Vaseline treats all types of skin problems, and you can also use it to moisturize and soften the skin. Apply this lotion on your feet before bed, and rub it well so that the skin absorbs its nutrients. One downside to Vaseline is that it can stain clothes and furniture. Therefore, we recommend that you wear cotton socks after applying Vaseline on the feet, and the next morning wipe the remaining petroleum jelly from your feet with a tissue.
Banana application
Mash a banana and apply it to the cracked areas of your feet, or use banana peels and wrap them around your heels to get rid of dryness and roughness. Bananas contain acids that exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells, while at the same time helping to moisturize it.
Moisturizing and wrapping
Moisturize your feet with a moisturizing cream, then wrap them with a plastic wrap so that the skin absorbs all the nutrients inside it during your sleep. Which moisturizer do you use? Whatever you prefer, as long as its formula combines the two qualities of moisturizing and exfoliating, for maximum effectiveness. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, allowing moisture to penetrate into the complexion and soften it.
Soak white vinegar and water
In a large bowl, mix 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts warm water. Soak your feet in the mixture for 10 to 20 minutes once a week. White vinegar helps soften the feet and get rid of cracks, and it also relieves peeling skin between the toes.
Use a pumice stone
A pumice stone is a very effective way to treat cracked feet, as it softens the dead skin accumulated on the surface of the skin. The use of a pumice stone should be done during the shower when your feet are wet and rub the cracks gently, to get rid of the rough skin. Wash your feet again to remove the effects of dead skin that fell during the stone massage, then apply olive oil and wear cotton socks from evening until morning.
