Dubai’s vision to provide quality housing to its citizens is a part of its plan to become the world’s best city for living. The vision has inched a little closer by a recent announcement.
The Emirati housing programme released at a budget of AED 65 Billion got approval last week. Following the approval, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, tweeted about the progress. The announcement was for the allocation of 4,000 plots of land and housing worth AED 5.2 Billion to be initiated immediately.
Citizens would be eligible for a housing loan of up to AED 1 million. He also mentioned that along with the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, would personally follow the development of the housing policy.
After all, “Quality housing is everyone’s basic right top priority for the government.” Sheikh Mohammed had said earlier. He further added, “Providing decent shelter to citizens is part of Dubai’s vision to become the world’s best city to live in.”
