Journalism institutions in the Arab world celebrated their culmination of the Arab Journalism Award in its nineteenth session in a virtual ceremony organized yesterday by the Dubai Press Club, representative of the General Secretariat of the award under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and with the follow-up of His Excellency Mona Ghanem Al-Marri, President of the Dubai Press Club, Secretary-General of the Arab Journalism Award, members of the award’s board of directors, and a group of editors-in-chief of Emirati and Arab newspapers, leading writers, thinkers, Arab cultural and media work figures and leaders of media institutions in the region, Via video communication technology.
Eleven winners celebrated their Arab Journalism Awards for this year from various daily and weekly newspapers, printed and electronic periodicals, and media institutions across the Arab world, whose works found their way to the honoring platform from among nearly six thousand works covering various arts and fields of journalism.

Al-Nahar newspaper’s board chairperson, Nayla Tueni, was awarded the Media Personality of the Year Award, in recognition of her efforts in supporting the march of the Lebanese press and enriching the Arab media scene, as she had many important contributions throughout her career full of accomplishments.
On this occasion, Tueni said: “After all the hardships we have gone through in the past years, especially this year with the big explosion that destroyed our beautiful city, Beirut, and the offices of An-Nahar were largely destroyed, here we are today standing again despite the destruction, determined to complete our professional and national mission.” .
She added, “My award for the Media Personality of the Year” award within the Arab Journalism Award is a source of great pride for me, especially as it comes at the end of a year full of difficulties that we are determined to pass, stressing that the award is a driving force to complete the daily course of passionate strategic work with A wonderful team that believes in the message of “Al-Nahar” and continuous development, and it means more on a personal level than all of that, as the award comes from Dubai, the city of the world and the future, and smashing the impossible. “
