Today, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI held talks by phone with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. The Maghreb Arab News Agency said that King Mohammed VI mentioned during these discussions the strong and specialties that bind the Jewish community of Moroccan origin to the Moroccan monarchy.
He also reaffirmed the firm and unchanging position of the Kingdom of Morocco regarding the Palestinian issue, as well as the Kingdom’s pioneering role in promoting peace. And stability in the Middle East.
In this context, King Mohammed VI commended the reactivation of cooperation mechanisms between Morocco and Israel, and the regular resumption of contacts, within the framework of peaceful and friendly diplomatic relations.
For his part, the Israeli Prime Minister affirmed his intention to implement all the commitments made, according to a specific timetable for their implementation.
The tripartite declaration signed on December 22nd between Morocco, the United States and Israel constitutes the frame of reference for advancing these relations and developing them.
