Having skin problems? Here are some signs that your skin is fighting an imbalance

You may have heard that your skin is a reflection of your health. A spot on your face could be a sign of something wrong with your body, whether it is related to nutrition, hormones, genetics, or environmental factors. The skin is the largest organ in the body, it communicates with the internal organs, and imposes what appears or does not appear – on our faces.

Do you want to know how you can improve your health to get radiant skin?

Skin mapping, also known as face mapping, is a technique originally used in traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. The idea is that the face is a mirror of your health – each area of the face connects with specific organs and reveals their condition. Face mapping guides you to look at the main causes and address the underlying cause of the skin condition.

Forehead

The forehead is a window to the liver and gallbladder. Excessive consumption of fats and a lot of alcohol can lead to pimples in this area.

Balance your diet by cutting back on these foods and alcoholic beverages, and drinking plenty of herbal teas and fresh water. Milk thistle and burdock root are often used to help support liver and gallbladder health.

Between the eyebrows

The area between your eyebrows, also known as the “third eye,” is said to be linked to your stomach and liver. Poor digestion and a build-up of toxins may lead to blisters in this area.

Try an elimination diet to rule out any allergies and consider a gentle cleansing of your shine. Reducing caffeine, alcohol, and sugar can also improve digestive health.

Temples and eyebrow line

The temple and the eyebrow line are connected to the kidneys. Problems in this area could indicate dehydration and / or kidney fatigue. Lower back pain usually goes hand in hand with these symptoms.

Try to drink more water, and eat foods that are high in nutritional value, such as kale, spinach, berries and algae, in your diet.

Under the eyes

The area below your eyes represents the condition of your stomach, kidneys and liver.

If you experience puffiness or dark circles under your eyes, consider reducing or removing alcohol, caffeine and sugar from your diet. Drink lots of water and detox tea and make sure you get enough good sleep.

The bridge of the nose and the upper cheeks area

The bridge of your nose and the upper region of your cheeks are said to be associated with the heart. Rashes such as rosacea appear more commonly in this area.

Try to replace unhealthy saturated fats with healthy fats that are loaded with omega fatty acids to increase good cholesterol and reduce bad cholesterol. Choose raw nuts, avocado, salmon, flaxseeds, and chia seeds.

The central area of the cheeks

The middle area of the cheeks is a window into the stomach and lungs. This area of the face is known for rosacea as well as pimples and hyperpigmentation.

In this case, watch out for common allergens like wheat and dairy products. Try to make your body alkaline by eating lots of green vegetables and reducing foods that cause acids such as alcohol, caffeine and sugar.

The nose and the lower area of the cheeks

The liver and stomach control the lower cheeks and the nose. This area is prone to wrinkling and popping and can usually be blamed for food intolerances and toxin buildup.

Clean up your diet and add some vegetable juice, which helps cleanse the intestines. Experiment to see what kind of sustainable eating approach is for you and to improve your health.

Mouth area

The mouth area is also connected to the stomach. Consider food sensitivities and toxin buildup. You may want to follow a detoxing diet and add more green vegetables and fiber to your meals.

Jaw line

The jaw line is a window into the ovaries and / or colon, and hormonal stress can cause pimples in this area, especially in women. A consistent menstrual cycle can help maintain healthy hormones and circulation.

During menstruation, women should eat a lot of green and moisturizing foods. Try a balanced, low-glycemic diet with lean protein, fruits and vegetables, whole grains and healthy fats. Keep stress levels under control and ensure you get good sleep.

Lymph nodes

Lymph nodes can measure stress levels and can often determine if the body is trying to fight disease. Our glands swell when they fight off bacteria – a good sign that our bodies are processing the bad things.

If your glands feel irritated or swollen, take the time to relax by practicing self-care. Extra rest, a balanced diet, yoga, breathing exercises and meditation can help reduce emotional and physical stress that interferes with your body’s natural healing process.

Skin mapping is a very specific technique, but it all comes down to balancing your basic health line, improving your immunity, identifying allergies, and discovering the approach that really works for you. No two people are the same, and everyone will need a different protocol for optimal health, inside and out.
