The report on the quality of services for mobile and fixed phone networks in the UAE, issued today by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), showed the availability of switching networks for licensees “Etisalat and Du” in the telecommunications sector by 100% during the year 2019, which is considered a high percentage compared to the Set for them amounting to 99.9%.
The preparation of such reports is based on the information provided by the licensed companies “Etisalat and Du” every 3 months to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
These indicators are measured at the average monthly rate, which includes the largest possible number of statistical representations of the network condition.
The performance indicators for the quality of services include … voice services over the fixed-line network in terms of network availability in switches and network effectiveness, in addition to voice services over the mobile network in terms of also availability of sharing and radio networks, the rate of success of completing and discontinuing calls, and the success of establishing calls.
In detail, the availability of radio networks for Etisalat reached 100% during the year 2019 … while for du, it reached 99.4%, according to the same report.
The success rate of mobile calls through the second and third generation network reached 99.7% and 100% respectively for Etisalat, 98.5% and 99.9% for du.
And the level of success in establishing calls on the second and third generation networks is 99.8%, 100% for Etisalat, 99% and 99.9% for du.
The report showed a clear improvement in fixed voice services during the year 2019, while voice services for mobile phones recorded a clear increase in all parameters during the first, second, and third quarters of last year.
