The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah recorded a significant decrease in the relative rate of injuries resulting from traffic accidents during the period from January 1 to September 30, compared to the same period in 2019, by 38 percent.

While the percentage of deaths due to traffic accidents decreased in the same period of this year by 50 percent compared to the same period in 2019, according to traffic statistics issued by the Traffic and Patrols Department of the General Department of Central Operations of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, praised the security awareness programs and initiatives organized by the Traffic Awareness and Information Branch of Ras Al Khaimah Police through traffic campaigns, distributing awareness brochures, and communicating with the public through various media outlets to spread awareness traffic messages and enforce the rule of law. He praised the relentless efforts of the Ras Al Khaimah Traffic Police, which are working to implement the strategy of the Ministry of Interior aimed at controlling road security, by preserving the safety and security of road users from various dangers.

For his part, Brigadier General Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Hamidi, Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, affirmed that the problem of traffic accidents and the resulting injuries is one of the most important and dangerous problems facing society because it drains a large amount of human resources and causes economic losses and great social impacts. Members of the public to avoid a number of factors and reasons such as excessive speed, failure of road users to appreciate distances, failure to adhere to the traffic line, or entering the lane without ensuring that it is clear, with not leaving enough distance between vehicles and passing the red light signal, driving recklessly, or exploding the tire For example, he urged drivers and road users to take caution and caution and appreciate the road and others, in order to preserve the safety of life, rights and property.
