5 health resolutions for the new year

Although reaching your ideal weight is one of the most important goals, losing weight is not the only healthy solution in the new year.

Here’s a list of five New Year’s resolution ideas that relate to a healthy lifestyle:

1 – Adhere to a healthy diet

Regardless of whether you are trying to lose weight or maintain your current weight, eating a balanced diet will help you reach your goal. Nutritionists and doctors recommend limiting carbohydrates, such as bread, pasta, pastries, and starchy vegetables, and adding more vegetables, fruits and protein.

2 – Move

Try to start exercising regularly. To be able to adhere, we recommend that you choose activities that seem enjoyable, such as dancing, walking for 3 0 minutes a day, cycling or swimming. Small changes can lead to big improvements in your health.

3 – Improve your sleep quality

Sleep is essential to enjoy good health and to get the necessary energy. But even more important is the quality of sleep, especially today and in our increasingly interconnected world. To get a good night’s sleep, avoid using the screen (phone, TV, laptop) in bed, limit naps, and follow a comfortable and regular nighttime routine.

4 – Get rid of bad habits

Whether you’re trying to quit smoking, snacking on mindlessly, or procrastinating, it’s time to start. Ask your family and friends to help you take this step and stick to it so that you can achieve your goal.

5- Practice mindfulness

Yoga and meditation have become commonplace recently, due in large part to the health benefits associated with these practices, from reduced stress to increased focus. Yoga and meditation are two great ways to help you develop mindfulness as well as improve overall health.
